Overview Of The 101cd Website

To quickly find all products for an artist use the search box on the top right hand area of the 101cd website. For best search results enter the artist name exactly e.g. IRON MAIDEN If you wish to search for partial matches or you do not know the exact spelling try selecting a particular department on the search box - this will enable a more detailed search.

To browse the 101cd range of products and to view selections of 101cd's best selling and most popular titles click on the departments that interest you on the left hand side of the 101cd site. When you click into a depertment the menu may then open a list of sections within that department.

Your basket is always shown on the right hand menu, a summary of the items in your basket can be viewed while browsing or full contents can be viewed by using the View Basket button and a total price excluding postage will be displayed.

To shop with 101cd you will need to create an account, you can do this by using the Create Account link at the top of the screen. Your username will be your email address and you can then choose a password which you can use in future to log into the 101cd site.

101cd - Browsing Overview

Browsing allows you to flip through titles in our catalogue much in the same way you would at your local record shop. However 101cd have added some extra features that you won't find there to make life a little easier and these are described below.

Browse By Genre

Just like your local record shop you can browse by genre of music. So if your tastes are for country music select this genre and press the find button. The default genre is rock. 101cd's system will display the first 50 titles in this category together with a link to display the next page. When you're into pages 2 and onwards other links will allow you to go back to page 1, go to the page following or page preceding the current page.

As well as displaying a list of titles you can select only the artists in the genre to be displayed. To do this click on the artist "radio" button to the right of the genre and then press the find button. A page of artists will then be displayed together with the appropriate links to other pages. As well as browsing the page you can view titles available for an artist by clicking on that artists name.

To return to viewing pages of titles select the title "radio" button and press the find button. A page of titles will then be displayed.

Browse By Campaign

Many record shops have special sections grouping together titles according to a price point or category (what the record companies refer to as campaigns). These might include "mid-price" or 3 for 20, etc. 101cd have done the same in the 101cd on-line store. Campaigns are an essential feature of the 101cd store and 101cd have built special features to make it easy for you to find and identify titles in these categories.

The "browse by campaign" page lets you choose specific campaigns or price points and see what's available. You can also browse across all campaigns. In addition you can browse either titles or artists within a campaign.

How To Place An Order At 101cd

You can either first add to your shopping basket and then open/access your account or set up/access your account first and then add to your shopping basket.

New Customer

Select "My101 CD" from the Home page or "New Account" from your shopping basket. Use Secure mode if entering credit card details. (URL always begins with "https://www...." The "s" in "https" at the beginning of the URL means you are logging into a secure page.) Complete details and scroll to bottom of the 101cd page and click 'Send' to complete this step. Please note that the username you select must be unique and please remember your username and password (and additional password/phrase if entered) so you can then access your account to check your order status or place further orders.

Existing 101cd Accounts

If you already have an account with 101cd, then select "My Orders" from the Home Page or "Sign-In" from your shopping basket and enter your username and password to access your account. Be sure to enter your username and password correctly as capitals or lower case and include additional password/phrase if you entered this when setting up your account.

Placing An Order At 101cd

To browse for an item, enter details and press find. Click on the 'Search' link to modify the search or use the many links to the 101cd campaigns etc.to find what you are looking for.

Click on "Add to basket" to add an item to your basket. Change quantity if needed and click on refresh. You can add multiple titles to an order before completing it.

Use 'Order Options' if you wish your order to be delivered to an alternate address.

Then click on "Checkout" (choose PayPal here if required) and then "Complete" to complete your order and you will receive an automatic email confirmation of your order. If you do not receive this email confirmation then your order has not been placed with 101cd correctly.

101cd Shopping Basket

Your shopping basket contains the titles that you want to buy from 101cd. You can add further titles to your basket by searching for additional CDs, videos, DVDs, etc change the quantity of items you wish to buy or remove an item completely. From your 101cd basket you can "check out" selecting your payment and delivery options or transfer items from your order to your hold bin. The following section summarises the main features of your 101cd basket.

Adding Titles To Your 101cd Basket

To add further titles to your basket either type another search in the box and click "find" or use the browser's back button to return to the page you came from.

Removing A Title And Changing Quantities In Your 101cd Basket

To remove a title from your basket click the "remove"button next to the title and then press the refresh button. To change the quantity, type the quantity you requirein the quantity field and press the refresh button.

Completing Your 101cd Order And Checking Out

To complete your 101cd order when you have everything you need in your basket, click on the "checkout" button. If you are already logged into your account and you are paying by credit / debit card, you can just click the "complete" button. If you are not logged into your 101cd account, enter your username and password to access your account or create a new account if you are a new customer. If you are paying by PayPal, click the relevent logo and follow the instructions before clicking the "complete" button.
